As you drive along the road you should be looking well ahead for any obstructions on both sides of the road.If there is an obstruction your side of the road and your path is clear.Do your MSM Routine,move out early at a gentle angle and look at the obstruction and clear it with a space of two feet from your left wing mirror and the obsruction on the left.If there are obstructions both side keep an equal gap between both.If there is an oncoming vehicle stop gently and give way to it,if the obstruction is your side.You should try and stop about3 feet from the obstruction to make it easier to move round it.If the obstructions are both sides and there is oncoming traffic,it is an equal priority.Watch the approach speed of the oncoming vehicle,it will give you an idea if it is going to pull in.If not then you will have to give way.So as you drive down the road you are looking for gaps and space both sides of the road,to use as give way places.As you drive along your speed and gears, should be adequate for you to deal with any oncoming traffic,also giving time to see and deal with you,and to deal with any pedestrians that might walk out from parked cars.Remember it takes longer to stop in wet and icy conditions.

If you are on a clear road coming into an area with parked cars on both sides of the road,you will need to slow down and change the gears down .This should be done in good time,not when you are in the congestion,as it is like going on the pill when 8 months pregnant too late.If you have a parked car on the left and an oncoming car,and there is enough room for the both of you,worry about the parked car most of all.The oncoming car can sterr out of your way.If you are not sure you can proceed down the road stop and give way.
