Method Of Bay Parking To The Right
Line up about this much away from the bays.Look all around before your point of turn.Any cars etc nearby stop. When the mark you use on the driver back window reaches the bay line turn the wheel fully right.Keep very slow |
As you turn you will go in at about this angle. You may possibly cut the bay line to your right.Still keep your speed slow. |
As you turn in look round for other road users etc.If any stop. When safe carry on with the exercise.Make sure you lokk over your left shoulder for any pedestrians at the back of the car.If any stop till they are well clear of you. |

| As the car turns in see the back wheel is going into the bay,and not over the bay line. The back of the car will head to the bay line to the drivers side and the start turning backto your right side. | As the car turns it will start to come away from the line to your left, and star tgoing to your right. As a rough guide, so your left back wheel will not cross the line. You need this much gap between your wheel and line as it turns to your right.Look back left again. | When your back wheel or door handle is this far from the line, start to straighten up.Look out the window to see where you are positioned. If you straighten up when you get your wheels the distance you want from the line you will be too close to it. |

| The back is ok from the line, but if you look the front wheels are not straight. At this position straighten the front wheels and get an equal gap all along the car between the bay line. | The car is now in the bay with enough room to get out of the car from both sides if a car was parked in either bay next to you. |
