Examples Of T Junctions
This is a closed T Junction. You can’t see what is coming from your right along the major road. The give way lines ahead of you tell you that you are on the minor road. You should have a left hand signal on at the first part of the photo.Next you should get the right distance away from the kerb so you don’t hit the corner on the turn.Next look at the corner and see how much curve there is.This will tell you how much of the steering to do when you get to the end of the road.Remember to approach slowly, braking a bit more when you put the clutch down to select first gear. This will stop the car gaining speed. The clutch should go down to select first gear about a car length from the give way lines. You look to your right first of all and then to the left, and again back to your right. You must not leave the junction if you would cause another road user to take evasive action. When you emerge from the junction stay driving on the clutch till you are straight. This avoids the car from speeding up quickly giving you no time to straighten up.

This is another closed T Junction. There is no vision on the right of this road.I have photographed more of the left side to show the big curve before the junction lines. After having done the MSM Routine I would be in second gear before the bend with the clutch raised fully.Go slowly looking at and steering the bend of the corner first. Then get first gear after the bend.DO not try to steer and change down the gears on the bend,as you will drift out to the right and be wrongly positioned.
