At this distance from the turn you will be checking the mirror. The left signal will go on by the first small bit of straight kerb and you will start braking as soon as you put on the signal.Look at the corner and you will see you can turn at around 10 MPH.You will need 2nd gear for the turnYou make the gear change by the phone box still braking and raising the clutch gently.Your clutch should be raised by the end of the kerb just before the small driveway. You now have a short distance to adjust your speed if need be.Look at the road ,it goes slightly uphill. You may need gentle gas pressure for the turn. contents |
You should be positioned off the parked cars.Look between the white and blue car,you will see 2 parked cars on the corner of the road you are going into. You should be thinking about a car that might turn up clearing the parked cars.Your speed should be slow enough and in a low gear to deal with this ,should it happen |
As you are approaching this turn, you should look at the corner, and also notice that the road narrows in.It is not very wide.I would take this corner at at about 5 miles per hour and in first gear. This would enable a slow turn, giving you time to adjust your steering and not cross over the centre line. You should also be aware that a car may also turn up.You can only see so far into the road you are going to turn into and be prepared for thist to happen. |
